Photograph shows a streetcar parked with six men are standing either in front of or in the streetcar. On the side of the streetcar &quot;Lawrence Railway Company&quot; is painted on the side along with &quot;109&quot;. Behind the streetcar is the Lawrence Journal building. At the bottom of the photograph on the left &quot;First Str. Car - Lawrence Kans&quot; is written in white ink. At the bottom right side &quot;C. &amp; S. Studio&quot; is signed in white ink. A white border is around the entire photograph. On the back is a note to Emice Smith in Liberal, Kansas from M. in Lawrence, Kansas. Note is about the installation of the first streetcar.
