    <dcterms:description><![CDATA[Text: Volume II of the records of the Schubert Mortuary, spanning December 1912 to October 1924. The Schubert Mortuary operated in Eudora in the early twentieth century before moving to Lawrence in 1927 under Carl Schubert, the son of founder Johann William Schubert. Warren-McElwain Mortuary, which continues to operate in Lawrence, is its successor. Volume II includes records of deceased persons prepared for burial at this mortuary from a wide range of Kansas counties, including Douglas, Johnson, Leavenworth, Dickinson, Wyandotte, Miami, Anderson, Harvey, McPherson, Cowley, and Riley. Some records also indicate places of death in Nebraska; Biloxy, Mississippi; St. Joseph, Missouri; Chicago, Illinois; Marshall, Michigan; Milwaukee, Wisconsin; New York; Colorado; and France.]]></dcterms:description>
