Description
Postcard with a black and white photograph of the first streetcar in Lawrence on the front. Photograph shows a streetcar parked with six men are standing either in front of or in the streetcar. On the side of the streetcar "Lawrence Railway Company" is painted on the side along with "109". Across the bottom "First street car in Lawrence 1909" is written in black ink. Behind the streetcar is the Lawrence Journal building. On the back "All well, lovely weather" is written to Anna in Portland from her father in Lawrence, Kansas. Part of the bottom of the postcard has been cut off. Postmarked September 29, 1909.
