Postcard with a black and white photograph of the streetcar line being constructed on Massachusetts Street on the front. Photograph is looking north and shows a work crew digging up a section of the street. At the bottom of the photograph "7P4 Building Streetcar Line in Lawrence Kans." is printed in white ink. On the back is a note to Mr. H.C. Dunmire in Artesia, New Mexico from Ray in Lawrence, Kansas discussing that streetcar rails had been laid down between the 700 through 900 block of Massachusetts Street.. Postmarked July 14, 1909. Information on where and from whom the postcard was acquired, Harvey Jackson 5/4/1989.
