Description
Postcard with a green tinted photograph of the flooded Kansas River on the front. Photograph depicts the water pump station and surrounding buildings, all almost completely submerged in water. At the bottom of the photograph "Kansas River during Flood of 1908, Lawrence, Kansas." is typed in black ink. Next to "Kansas." "1908" is written in black pen. A white border is around the entire photograph. On the right border is a continuation of the note written on the back to Mrs. Doering of Cottonwood Falls from her sister Callie in Lawrence. Postmarked July 18, 1908. Along the bottom of the left side "Published by C.W. Mettner, Lawrence, Kansas." is typed in black ink.
