Postcard with a black and white photograph of an aerial view of downtown Massachusetts Street after the 1911 tornado on the front. Photograph depicts destroyed and damaged buildings. A white border is around the entire photograph. On the left border is a note stating the photograph was taken from the roof of the National Bank located at 647 Massachusetts Street. Note also discusses that the majority of the roofs were taken. Information on the photograph is written on the back "Lawrence, Kansas April 11, 1911 tornado". Information on when and where the postcard was acquired is on the back, 5/15/1999 from the Jackson Sale.
