Lawrence Free Public Library annual report for the year of 1966. A survey was conducted by the State Library of Kansas showing that the building was inadequate to serve the population of the city. The Library assumed the responsibility as administrative headquarters for all the Northeast Kansas Libraries receiving a grant of $36,000. Information about circulation, registration, book stock, and budget was included. A brochure was attached for community distribution.
